Held annually, the Dorothy C. Fuqua Lecture Series at Skyland Trail brings mental health professionals and community members together to learn about and discuss current topics of importance in mental and behavioral health.
The lecture series was a gift created to honor Mrs. Fuqua's 90th birthday from her son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Duvall Fuqua, and longtime Skyland Trail supporters Edwina and Tom Johnson. The lecture series celebrates Mrs. Fuqua's longtime support and dedication to Skyland Trail, as well as her commitment to recovery for those with mental illness. The lecture is held annually and is free and open to the public.
