LEADERSHIP

Leadership and Advisors

Skyland Trail is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit mental health treatment organization governed by a board of directors. Community leaders and experts in the field of psychiatry also serve as volunteer advisors to ensure our programs and services continue to meet the changing mental health needs of the communities we serve.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is a corporate entity that oversees a professional management team. Their responsibilities include formulating the organization’s mission, maintaining its financial health and ensuring quality care for Skyland Trail’s clients.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is a volunteer leadership group that provides advice and counsel to Skyland Trail’s management, staff and the foundation’s Board of Directors. Advisory Board members serve as advocates and seek the involvement and interest of the community in the organization's programs.

National Advisory Board

An eminent National Advisory Board of leading psychiatrists from around the country provides insight and expertise to inform our strategic direction and to help continue to advance our evidence-based treatment program.

Adolescent Advisory Council

The Adolescent Advisory Council is a voluntary group of individuals who are passionate about adolescent mental health. The council provides input and strategic advice to management and clinical leadership in addition to generating community interest and involvement in teen mental health.

Professional Advisory Board

The Professional Advisory Board is a select group of metro Atlanta psychiatrists. It was created to provide a forum for physicians to share information on best practices, to collaborate on professional issues and to support Skyland Trail clinical programs.
