Each client has to put in the time and effort needed to make real and sustainable progress. To encourage full participation in treatment, as part of our Mark West Financial Aid Program, our unique Engagement Incentive Program rewards clients who give treatment their best efforts with reductions in treatment costs.
Working with their primary counselor, clients must opt-in to the program by outlining a plan to stay engaged in treatment, even when it’s hard. Engagement goals include attending and participating in group therapy and individual sessions, taking medication as appropriate, and completing homework.
Each week, our treatment team evaluates each client and assigns an engagement score. After the first full month in treatment, clients who meet the criteria (scoring a monthly average of 4.5 on the engagement scale) receive a 5 percent discount on the following month's billing statement. The monthly 5 percent discount continues as long the client continues to meet engagement criteria.
The Engagement Incentive Program only applies to the private pay portion of a client's account. Clients who use insurance are not eligible to receive the discount. However, we encourage all clients to opt-in to the program at the beginning of treatment, so they will be eligible if they begin to pay privately later. The discount does not apply to co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, Wellness Clinic fees, or physician services fees.
