Adult
Residential Treatment Depression
At Skyland Trail,
we offer an adult residential treatment depression program that treats people with the diagnosis of depression, major depression, and manic depression. The depression recovery facility at Skyland Trail has been in existence since 1989. Our full continuum of care includes adult residential
treatment depression, adult day treatment depression services, intensive-outpatient, vocational program, case management and a social club. In our depression treatment center, clients gain skills and understanding to work, attend school, volunteer, live in the community, enjoy relationships and experience quality of life.
Our clients follow an individualized depression treatment plan derived from initial and follow-up assessments.
The adult residential treatment depression program integrates a variety of components such as cognitive behavior therapy, support, skill building, psychoeducation, arts, horticulture and recreation. Each client is served by a multidisciplinary team which includes a psychiatrist, social workers, psychologists, a vocational counselor, a recreation therapist, creative arts therapists and a horticultural therapist. Working together, they assist the client in achieving his or her goals.
