Bipolar Disorder Treatment Facility

Skyland Trail is a private, nonprofit bipolar disorder treatment facility in Atlanta serving adults with a diagnosis of bi-polar, major depression, schizophrenia, anxiety and depression disorders or dual diagnosis. Offering bipolar therapeutic interventions, we assist clients in gaining the skills and understanding they need to work, attend school, volunteer, live in the community, enjoy relationships and experience quality of life. At our state-of-the-art bipolar disorder treatment center, our clients are served through a full continuum of care including residential bipolar treatment services, bipolar day treatment, intensive-outpatient treatment, vocational program, case management and a social club.

The bipolar disorder treatment facility at Skyland Trail begins with an assessment of symptoms and skills deficits to determine the most appropriate treatment program. Each client is matched with a primary counselor who guides treatment and provides support in setting and progressing toward goals. We use a range of therapeutic approaches to fit each client’s needs and learning styles. Group sessions focus on cognitive behavior therapy, support, skill building, psychoeducation, arts, horticulture and recreation. Clients practice their developing skills at the bipolar disorder treatment center in the residential programs and the social program.
