Accreditation
Skyland Trail is fully accredited with the Gold Seal of ApprovalTM by The Joint Commission, which provides accreditation to healthcare organizations. If you have a client safety or quality of care concerns please contact a member of our professional staff or management team.

Organizational and staff awards
• Skyland Trail received the Gold Achievement Award from the American Psychiatric Association, one of the highest national honors in the mental health community.
• Skyland Trail was honored with the 2009 'Revolutions Award' by the Georgia Center for Non-profits as Georgia's top non-profit organization.
• In 2008, Skyland Trail was one of two national testing sites chosen for the VALERO Study, an innovative research initiative aimed at developing assessments to quantify and VALidate the Everyday, Real-life Outcomes of people with serious mental illness. The program is sponsored by the National Institute for Mental Health (NIMH) in conjunction with Emory University's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
• Skyland Trail was chosen as one of five organizations nationwide to receive the Johnson & Johnson/Rosalynn Carter Institute Caregivers award to enhance the family education program. .
• Skyland Trail was honored with the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta's 'Managing for Excellence' Award.
• President Beth Finnerty was awarded the Georgia State University Institute of Health Administration Max Holland Distinguished Alumni Award.
• President Beth Finnerty received the Georgia Psychiatric Physician's Asscociation Leadership Award.
