Recent studies by the National Institute on Mental Illness revealed that one out of four people will struggle with mental illness at some point in the their lives. Since we opened our first facility in 1989, Skyland Trail has developed an innovative continuum of care designed to help adults with mental illness on the successful road to recovery.

Provide need-based financial aid to clients and families
Assure superb residential and treatment facilities
Develop leading-edge therapies
Provide vocational services to help clients achieve their personal and professional goals
Fund research to document client outcomes
Provide therapies based on horticulture, woodworking, music, dance, drama and other expressive activities

2011 Annual Giving

The Annual Giving Campaign helps us build our Financial Aid Fund so that clients can enter our services or complete their vitally needed treatment. The Annual Giving Campaign also supports vocational services, our on-site primary care clinic, adjunctive therapies and other programs that make Skyland Trail distinctively effective.
