The George West Mental Health Foundation

The creative force behind Skyland Trail, the George West Mental Health Foundation is dedicated to helping those with mental illness live more productively and independently in the community. Since 1982, the Foundation has implemented comprehensive mental health programs ranging from residential services and day treatment options to community case management and therapeutic recreation. Many of the activities take place at the state-of-the-art Health and Education Center. A Board of Directors comprised of volunteer community leaders guides the Foundation's efforts in achieving the Foundation's mission of facilitating independent living.
