Depressed Person
The depression recovery facility at Skyland Trail has been in existence since
1989 and is a nationally-recognized, community-based non-profit
willing to help a depressed person with the diagnosis of depression, major depression, and manic depression.
Our depression recovery treatment integrates a variety of components
such as cognitive behavior therapy, support, skill building,
psychoeducation, arts, horticulture and recreation. In our depression treatment center,
we strive to help depressed person(s) gain skills and understanding to work, attend school, volunteer, live in the community, enjoy relationships and experience quality of life.
Each client follows an individualized depression treatment plan derived from initial and follow-up assessments. Our full continuum of care includes adult depression residential treatment, adult day treatment depression services, intensive-outpatient, vocational program, case management and a social club.
Each client is served by a multidisciplinary team which includes a psychiatrist, social workers, psychologists, a vocational counselor, a recreation therapist, creative arts therapists and a horticultural therapist. Working together, they assist the client in achieving his or her goals.
