Internship Opportunities
Skyland Trail welcomes students from social work, psychology, nursing, occupational
therapy, horticultural therapy, art therapy, recreation therapy, and other related
programs.
Students who intern at Skyland Trail are involved in all aspects of clinical services
with considerable room for individualized training as needed and appropriate.
Students may:
- Carry a supervised caseload
- Provide individual therapy
- Develop and lead groups
- Attend staff meetings/trainings
- Receive regular supervision from licensed professionals
Students will be exposed to a variety of treatment modalities including:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Behavioral Skills Training
- Dual Recovery
- Family Education
- Vocational Services
- Expressive Arts
