Life
Enrichment Adult Program (LEAP)
An important facet in a
client's recovery is to feel a sense of belonging and self-worth. The Life
Enrichment Adult Program (LEAP) is designed to provide a variety of
opportunities that meet this need. Individuals who want to seek new
friendships, learn new skills, cultivate new hobbies and interests, and
have fun can join LEAP. LEAP is an excellent transition for individuals
stepping down in their treatment, but who still need motivation, structure,
support, and life enrichment. LEAP provides the structure one needs to feel
comfortable and safe, while encouraging independence and personal
responsibility.
The LEAP coordinator plans activities based on continuous assessment of
client interests, Weekday activities include art projects, drama, book
club, creative discovery, life skills, guitars lessons, aromatherapy,
woodworking, cooking, and exercise classes. The community weekend outings
may include professional sporting events, gatherings with other
organizations, putt-putt golf, swimming, ice cream socials, Atlanta museums, theatres, movies,
festivals and much more!
"LEAP provides a taste of life that brings out the best in you."
