Skyland Trail is a private, nonprofit facility in Atlanta serving adults with a diagnosis of major depression, schizophrenia, anxiety and depression disorders or dual diagnosis. By helping clients that experience major depression with psychosis treatment, we are able to assist clients in gaining the skills and understanding they need to work, attend school, live in the community, enjoy relationships and experience quality of life. At our state-of-the-art treatment facility, clients are served through a full continuum of care including residential psychosis treatment services, bipolar day treatment, intensive-outpatient treatment, vocational program, case management and a social club. 

Those with major depression at Skyland Trail begin with an assessment of symptoms and skills deficits to determine the most appropriate treatment program. Each client is matched with a primary counselor who guides treatment and provides support in setting and progressing toward goals. We use a range of therapeutic approaches to fit each client’s needs and learning styles. Group sessions focus on cognitive behavior therapy, support, skill building, psychoeducation, arts, horticulture and recreation.
