Dr. Ray Kotwicki is the Vice President of Professional Services and Medical Director for Skyland Trail.  He completed his residency and postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine following postgraduate training at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine.  Dr. Kotwicki graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School after completing a combined baccalaureate - medical scholars program.  Dr. Kotwicki serves as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine as well as Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Rollins School of Public Health.  He is co-director of the Emory University Fellowship in Community Psychiatry and Public Health, and leads medical student teaching as the Director of Medical Student Education in Emory University's Department of Psychiatry.  Dr. Kotwicki also is a member of Emory's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science's Executive Committee.  He has been named to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association in 2010 and was awarded NAMI Georgia's ‘Exemplary Psychiatrist' Award in 2007.  His special interests include the integration of physical and mental health care, anti-stigma initiatives, health policy, and matters of social justice.  Dr. Kotwicki has been at Skyland Trail since January, 2007.

Dr. Chavez received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine. He was an intern and resident at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and served in the U.S. Navy for several years as a medical officer. He then completed his psychiatry residency at the University of California San Diego and a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at the VA Medical Center in San Diego. He has been living and working in Atlanta since 2006 and has been with Skyland Trail since June 2008 where he serves as the Associate Medical Director. He is board certified in adult psychiatry. Dr. Chavez is also involved with medical student education and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry for the Emory University School of Medicine. Areas of professional interest include addictions, dialectical behavior therapy, mood disorders, personality disorders, and medical informatics.

Dr. Mary Burns is a psychiatrist at Skyland Trail and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Emory University. Dr. Burns is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Georgia Psychiatric Association and the Atlanta Women's Medical Alliance. Since 2000, Dr. Burns has been the governor-appointed Chairwoman of the Board of the Georgia Department of Behaviroal Health and Developmental Disabilities. She volunteers with the Cathedral of St. Philip, Pace Academy and the Northside Youth Organization. Dr. Burns recieved her BA from the University of the South, an MD from Mercer University School of Medicine, was a Resident in Psychiatry at Duke University School of Medicine and a Fellow in Child Psychiatry at Harvard University School of Medicine.

Chris Cline has worked in community mental health for nine years, serving various populations including: residential psychiatric, homeless services, HIV mental health, incarcerated mental health, and disaster-affected persons through Red Cross volunteer work.  He also served as a volunteer for the Peace Corps. Prior to his current role, Chris served at Skyland Trail as Admissions Director and Clinical Director. A native Georgian, Chris holds a MSW from Boston University.

Beth Finnerty joined the George West Mental Health Foundation and Skyland Trail in August 1989 as its Executive Director.  She led the expansion of services at Skyland Trail, which now operates four freestanding facilities, employs more than 80 staffers and has served more than 2500 clients and their families in a variety of residential and outpatient community care settings.  Beth has overseen the development and implementation of four strategic plans for the Foundation and has directed three capital campaigns, raising more than $30 million. Beth is a Diplomat in the American College of Healthcare Executives and currently serves on the Boards of the Institute of Health Administration Advisory Board (Ga. State Univ.), the Fuqua Center for Late Life Depression (past president), the Georgia Association of Private Providers, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Georgia.  She is a past member of the Board of Mental Health America-Georgia, the Emory Board of Visitors, the Georgia Community Trust, the Atlanta Business Leaders Initiative, and the President's Commission on White House Fellowships (Atlanta region). Beth holds a Master's in Business Administration and a Master's in Health Administration from Georgia State University.
