The history, indications and current use of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) will be discussed, emphasizing which patient and treatment characteristics are associated with a better or worse clinical outcomes.

Dr. Compton will talk about Psychotic Disorders. He will present on how the diagnoses are currently made, some current controversies about diagnoses, and the early course of these disorders.
March 30 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm From A to Z: Integrated primary medical care and mental health recovery at Skyland Trail Ray Kotwicki, MD, MPH, Medical Director, Skyland Trail. Patients with mental illnesses have significantly more medical problems than do others, in part because of their specific biology and in part because of physicians' biases. This discussion will explain why integrating physical health with mental health is so essential and strategies for doing this at our organization.
