Skyland Trail's Family Support, Training and Education Program
Families and other primary supporters play a vital role in a client's recovery. Skyland Trail recognizes, however, the strain that a loved one's serious mental illness places on caregivers and supporters. The Family Support, Training and Education Program (STEP), originated by Skyland Trail, assists families and other concerned persons with knowledge and skills for self care as well as appropriate support for loved ones with mental illness. STEP is open to any caregiver or family member engaged with an individual with mental illness, not only client families.
Family STEP sessions meet on Tuesdays from
6:30-8:30 pm in Skyland Trail’s Conference Room.
Skyland Trail is pleased to be able to also offer STEP through conference call or video call. Please see instructions on the right hand side of this page for information.
Please note: there will be no STEP from Thanksgiving through the New Year. The new series begins Tuesday, January 10th.
