New Service Offered For Out of Town Alumni
September 14, 2017
Skyland Trail recently launched a new addition to the alumni program. Starting September 7, the alumni program offers a monthly peer support call to alumni who live outside the metro Atlanta area. While about 60% of Skyland Trail clients are from Georgia, about 40% come from other states.
Since launching in 2013, the alumni program has grown both in number of alumni and frequency of alumni events. Each month, alumni who live in the metro Atlanta area have the opportunity to participate in social nights, band practices and peer support groups. With the addition of the alumni support calls, individuals who live outside the metro Atlanta area have the opportunity to receive peer support and connect with other alumni.
The alumni support call takes place every second Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. EST. Individuals participate in the support call through the call conferencing system. The call is moderated by Wade Lee, CPS, alumni program director and certified peer specialist.
