April 26, 2018

ATLANTA - Raymond J. Kotwicki, MD, MPH, Charles B. West Chief Medical Officer for Skyland Trail, has been accepted to Class XI of the Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy.

Established in 2007, the Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy (GPLA) develops physician leaders with the goals of enhancing the medical profession and the health care system and improving quality of life for Georgia residents. The year-long program features interactive classes designed to build skill sets in three key areas: advocacy, communications, and conflict resolution. Each GPLA student completes a personal leadership project to benefit his or her patients, profession, or communities during the class year.

GPLA also fosters relationships and networks among medical professionals in Georgia. Nearly 120 physicians in Georgia – including many who serve in leadership roles at the Medical Association of Georgia and other state and local medical societies – have graduated from the GPLA.

Additional members of Class XI include Salman Fidahussein, MD; Jacob Varghese, MD; Donald Fordham, MD; Amin Yehya, MD; Rod Duraski, MD; Raghu Lolabhattu, MD; Travis Bailey, DO; Colleen McLemore, MD; Wambui Machua, MD; Christopher Walsh, MD; Richard Olson, MD; Shamie Das, MD; Royden Daniels, MD; Tracey Henry, MD; and Stephen Shiver, MD.
