Atlanta, GA – On Saturday, September 22, the Pilot Clubs of Metropolitan Atlanta hosted its 34th Annual Georgia Artists with Disabilities Exhibition. Artists throughout Georgia had the opportunity to display and sell their artwork to guests in the community. Visitors enjoyed various art media including painting, weaving, pottery, sculpture and photography.
Fourteen Skyland Trail clients and alumni participated in the exhibit and showcased their artistic talents through the support of the Skyland Trail art department. Of those, six artists won awards in best of show and honorable mention and will display their artwork in the year-long Georgia Artists with Disabilities statewide tour and exhibit.

Art therapy is a part of the adjunctive therapies program at Skyland Trail, which includes horticultural, process art, product art, music, and recreational therapy.
