Skyland Trail pairs comprehensive diagnostic services with evidence-based therapies to help individuals ages 18 and older recover from severe mental illness. Whether a young adult experiencing your first episode of mental illness, or a mid-career professional who has been struggling for years, we can help.
Our comprehensive recovery philosophy integrates mental, physical and spiritual health with community reintegration. Each client has an individualized recovery plan that includes psychiatric services, primary medical care, counseling and adjunctive therapies within a single system.
Family involvement is essential for a client's recovery. We provide a range of opportunities for families to be involved in the recovery journey, including orientation and education, family counseling, and support groups.

"We could have lost our son so many times along the way. But what we felt when we got to Skyland Trail was hope. They offered him a comprehensive treatment plan. He had to go to recovery groups and he had to participate in group sessions. The medical treatment and psychiatric treatment was there, too.”
"Skyland Trail provided both my family and my loved one with not only hope for their ability to recover and participate in a meaningful life, but also gave us the tools and information so that we could achieve this. I would recommend Skyland Trail to others without hesitation.”
Skyland Trail is the role model for the rest of the mental health treatment world. Evidence-based, humane and recovery oriented, and supporting scientific inquiry, your organization sets the standard with no one else close to.
