About the Program

Our integrated treatment model combines medication therapy, one-on-one counseling, group therapy and even art, music and horticultural therapy to help our clients rediscover a life worth living. Our voluntary programs offer longer lengths of stay in a welcoming, unlocked community, giving our clients the time and space they need to recover. Our individualized approach begins with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, which enables us to match each client with a weekly schedule of evidence-based programming specific to their symptoms and diagnosis.

Whether you are experiencing your first episode of psychosis or have been struggling with depression for years, you can get your life back. Call our admissions team to discuss how we help adults ages 18 and older struggling with bipolar illness, major depression, schizophrenia and anxiety disorders.

Skyland Trail saved my life, plain and simple. I had suffered from depression and anxiety for over a year. After a month in another facility, I was at Skyland, and what a difference it was. I had proper therapeutic counseling and spent six wonderful hours a day in classes learning about codependence, self esteem, anxiety management, meditation, and other skills, which I will utilize the rest of my life. Now, I am happily reintegrated into my life with my family and new jobs, renewing friendships I had put on hold while I was so sick, and a newfound love of life. Everyone who greets me says, 'My Tara's back!'

  • In some ways it was like going back to school. Learning ways of coping with stress, emotions, and life helped me integrate strategies that I now use to keep from feeling like I'm trapped in a dark room with no way to get out, which is how I felt for a long time prior to coming to Skyland Trail.
