Kotwicki Receives the Emory Rollins School of Public Health Distinguished Achievement Alumni Award

ATLANTA – Dr. Raymond J. Kotwicki, Skyland Trail Charles B. West Chief Medical Officer, recently received the Emory Rollins School of Public Health Distinguished Achievement Alumni Award. The award was presented at The Capitol City Club on November 6, 2017.

The Distinguished Achievement Alumni Award is given to a Rollins School of Public Health graduate who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of public health. The award is presented to recipients who exemplify dedication to the public health ideals of promoting health and preventing disease.

“Dr. Kotwicki is leading pioneering work at the unique intersection of mental health care, physical medical care, and public health,” states Amy Rollins Kreisler, chair of the O. Wayne Rollins Foundation and Skyland Trail board member. “His work is making a difference here in our community in the lives of individuals living with a mental health diagnosis, but also on the national level, where his work at Skyland Trail is helping to shape and redefine the model for effective recovery-focused mental health treatment.”

The Distinguished Achievement Alumni Award is one of two awards presented annually to recognize the outstanding contributions made in preventing disease and protecting public health.
