The individualized, whole person approach at Skyland Trail empowers our clients to define their vision for a healthy future and develop a road map to get there. Beyond preventing crises and hospitalization, our intensive residential and day treatment programs help our clients learn healthy strategies to reduce symptoms, manage stress, improve relationships, and engage meaningfully with their communities.
Our evidence-based treatment model utilizes an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals to provide psychotherapy, one-on-one counseling, group therapy, education for mental health diagnoses, integrated art, music and horticultural therapy, life skills coaching, and much more. Our voluntary programs offer longer lengths of stay in a welcoming community, giving our clients the time and space they need to heal and recover. After a comprehensive diagnostic assessment at admission, we match each client with a weekly schedule of evidence-based programming specific to their symptoms and diagnoses.

Who We Treat
Our adult programs serve adults ages 18 and older with a primary mood, thought or anxiety disorder. Specialized programs help individuals with complex co-occurring diagnoses like substance use, borderline personality disorder, or a history of trauma.
Our adolescent programs serve teens ages 14 to 17 with a primary mood, anxiety, or trauma-related disorder. Specialized programs help teens with emerging borderline personality traits, mild to moderate substance use, or a history of trauma.
Adult Program Fees
Adult Residential Program Private Pay Rate: $1,300 per day
Adult Day Treatment Program Private Pay Rate: $625 per day
Most adult clients participate in residential treatment for about 1-2 months before stepping down to the day treatment program. Our minimum length of stay is 8 weeks. Our adult treatment programs are in-network with many plans offered by Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, ComPsych, Magellan, Optum/United Behavioral Health/Oscar Health, and Humana Military / TRICARE East*. Medicare and Medicaid do not cover our services at any level of care. Financial aid is available to eligible families to reduce private pay costs.
*TRICARE plans in-network for adult residential treatment for adults ages 18-20 only. TRICARE plans cover adult day treatment and IOP program for adults ages 18 to 26 who are covered dependents and adults 18+ who are primary beneficiaries.

Adolescent Residential Program Private Pay Rate: $1,300 per day
Adolescent Treatment Program Private Pay Rate: $625 per day
Our adolescent residential treatment program is in-network with many plans offered by Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, ComPsych, Magellan, Optum/United Behavioral Health/Oscar Health, and Humana Military / TRICARE East*. The adolescent residential program for teens is a 12 week program. Medicare and Medicaid do not cover our services at any level of care.
