Estimating Your Financial Responsibility
Total treatment costs depend on the level of care required and the number of days needed to complete treatment. Most clients use some combination of private pay and insurance benefits to cover the costs of program fees and professional services. Medicare and Medicaid do not cover our services at any level of care.

Adult Residential Program Fees
The residential treatment program at Skyland Trail is in-network with many plans offered by Aetna, Cigna, and Magellan. The base program cost of a 30-day stay in residential care is $33,000. Clients typically participate in the residential level of care for about two months before stepping down to the day treatment program.

Our nonresidential treatment programs include day treatment (also known as partial hospitalization or PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP). The private pay program cost of a 20-day stay in day treatment is $11,000. The private pay program cost of a 20-day stay in intensive outpatient is $8,000. Financial Aid Program
Through the generosity of Skyland Trail donors and friends, we offer a financial assistance program to help clients and families who meet need-based financial criteria. While we ask all clients to cover the costs of a portion of their treatment, the Skyland Trail Board of Directors has committed to distribute at least $1 million through our financial aid program each year.
Using Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits
We can refer you to a third party insurance advocate, SJ Health Insurance Advocates, who can independently determine if reimbursement is possible. If benefits are available, SJ Health can also coordinate authorizations with your out-of-network benefits and help you maximize your reimbursement.
