Stacey DeWeese Selected as Chief Operating Officer

ATLANTA – Skyland Trail, a nationally recognized nonprofit mental health treatment organization, is pleased to announce the selection of Stacey DeWeese as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Stacey brings over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to her new role.

As COO, Stacey DeWeese will oversee operational and financial management, patient accounts, payer relations, information technology, facilities management, security, and corporate compliance. Her extensive background in healthcare leadership positions her to enhance the operational excellence of Skyland Trail and support its mission of providing exceptional mental health care.

Before joining Skyland Trail, DeWeese served as Senior Vice President of System Operations at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In this role, she led a wide range of hospital services, including inpatient, emergency, and surgical services and ancillary and support functions such as radiology, rehabilitation, cardiac services, neurosciences, orthopedics, housekeeping, and food services. DeWeese’s experience also includes managing large-scale transformational initiatives, starting new services, overseeing major construction projects, and implementing various healthcare information systems.

DeWeese holds a Bachelor’s of Engineering Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s of Public Health Degree from Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
