Third Annual Beth C. Jones Pickleball Tournament Raises Record-Breaking $86,000 for Mental Health Treatment

ATLANTA – Skyland Trail’s annual Beth C. Jones Pickleball Tournament, held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, raised over $86,000 to support financial aid for mental health treatment. Players, sponsors, and supporters gathered for a day of competition and community, all benefiting adults and teens receiving care at Skyland Trail.

Funds raised directly support Skyland Trail’s financial aid program, which helps ensure access to evidence-based mental health treatment for individuals and families with demonstrated need. In 2025, Skyland Trail provided more than $2.1 million in financial aid to 259 clients, making treatment and recovery possible for those who might not otherwise have access.

The tournament featured competitive doubles play, with Kennan Li and Andrew Felton of ROARK taking first place. Elizabeth Klump and Kevin Thomas earned second place, followed by Erik Howard and Ben Magod in third.

Skyland Trail extends special thanks to event chairs Maripat McCune and Joanie Henry and the planning committee for their leadership and dedication in making the tournament a success.

The event honors the legacy of Beth C. Jones, a devoted mental health advocate who served Skyland Trail for 15 years on the Board of Directors and 11 years as Board Emeritus. Her commitment to expanding access to care continues to inspire the community.

Skyland Trail is grateful to all who participated and supported this year’s tournament. Their generosity strengthens access to compassionate, evidence-based mental health treatment and offers hope to individuals and families on the path to recovery.

The event was made possible through the generosity of community sponsors, including King of the Court sponsor ROARK and Ace sponsors Rheem and Dermatology Consultants. Rally sponsors included CSI Leasing, Earthlink, Hennessy Automobile Companies, Mary Alice and Bennett Brown Foundation, and The Wierman Family. Lob sponsors included Chubb, Live Oak Caregivers, Scott and Maripat McCune, Patricia Bowman Terwilliger Family Foundation, Greg and Joanie Henry, Christmas Creek Charitable Fund, and Darla McBurney.
