Interns & Residents
Skyland Trail internships provide outstanding learning experiences for students pursuing careers in social work, clinical counseling, psychology, nursing, horticultural therapy, art therapy, recreation therapy and related programs.
All aspects of clinical service are addressed in a graduate internship, with individualized training as needed and appropriate. Students may:
- Carry a supervised caseload
- Provide individual therapy
- Develop and lead groups
- Attend staff meetings/trainings
- Receive regular supervision from licensed professionals
Interns observe and provide supervised assistance in treatment modalities including:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Behavioral Skills Training
- Dual Recovery
- Family Education
- Vocational Services
- Expressive Arts
