Atlanta, GA — Skyland Trail is expanding its offerings for teens and families with two accessible programs designed to build practical skills, strengthen relationships, and support adolescent mental health: a free webinar series for parents and structured outpatient groups for teens and caregivers.

Free Webinar Series: Confident Parenting Skills for Real-Life Challenges
This three-part virtual series equips parents with evidence-based tools and straightforward strategies they can use right away.

  • May 13 | DBT Bootcamp: Parenting Skills
    Big emotions can feel overwhelming for both teens and parents. This session helps parents recognize early warning signs of emotional distress, understand contributing factors, and respond in ways that build trust and confidence. Participants will learn simple, practical skills to support distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and a greater sense of control.
  • August 26 | School Success: Parenting Skills for Time Management and Goal Achievement
    School pressures can quickly become overwhelming. This webinar helps parents understand what their teen may be experiencing and offers practical ways to support time management, responsibility, and follow-through. Parents will also learn how to recognize and reinforce small wins to build motivation, confidence, and accountability.
  • November 4 | Digital Health: Parenting Skills for Managing Technology
    Technology and social media play a major role in teens’ daily lives. This session explores how digital use impacts mental health and safety, including common risks and challenges. Parents will leave with practical tools to set limits, create healthy boundaries, and support more balanced, confident technology use.

Outpatient Groups for Teens and Parents
In addition to the webinar series, Skyland Trail offers structured, skills-based outpatient groups that provide deeper support over five weeks. Programs are available both virtually and in person for Georgia residents.

  • Teen Wellness Academy
    Teens experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges learn practical skills to manage stress, navigate relationships, and handle school demands more effectively.
  • Parenting Is a Process
    Parents of teens with emerging mental health or behavioral concerns gain tools to strengthen family dynamics, improve communication, and support their teen with confidence and consistency.
