Tera Carter, CPS, WHMC
Adult Alumni Coordinator

My name is Tera and I am a certified peer specialist in long-term recovery from a mental health diagnosis. Over the past eight years, I have worked through my own recovery by unpacking traumas, learning boundaries, reversing co-dependency, and practicing self-care.

I am very passionate about advocacy and empowering those living with mental health disorders to live happy, stable, and productive lives. I have led peer groups for several years with NAMI and am now a National Trainer. Over the past year, I served on the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Mobile Crisis Team which goes out into the community to assess and provide resources for individuals in mental health and substance abuse crises. My greatest joy is being a mother to my three children.

I look forward to serving all of you in the Skyland Trail alumni community as we work through our recovery journeys together!
